FBI Offers Reward in Search for Missing California Woman Suspected of Being a Trafficking Victim

Heaven Desiree McGee, 21, has been missing since January 20, 2023

The FBI has announced a reward of up to $10,000 for any information leading to the whereabouts of Heaven Desiree McGee, a 21-year-old woman from California who has been missing since mid-January. Authorities suspect she may be a victim of sex trafficking.

    Last Known Movements

Heaven was last seen by her mother on January 17 in Oakland. She was subsequently spotted in Stockton on January 20, and she has connections to various cities, including San Jose and Oakland. Oakland Detective Bradley Sides emphasized the importance of public assistance, urging anyone who may have observed something unusual in those areas to come forward. “Whatever the detail is, however small, it could aid us in our investigation,” he stated.

    Distinctive Tattoos

McGee is described as a Black female, standing 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair, and at the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white jacket and brown pants. Her distinctive tattoos may help in identifying her; they include:

    • The words “Aaron Pryor” above a red rose tattoo below her left collarbone
    • Unidentified words above both of her collarbones
    • At least four butterfly tattoos on her chest and sternum
    • Possible Chinese characters near her left forearm
    • The words “Darius III” on her right forearm

    A Mother’s Plea

During a recent press conference hosted by the FBI and Oakland Police, McGee’s mother made a heartfelt appeal to the public, vowing to continue her search until she knows her daughter’s whereabouts. “She disappeared out of my life in January, never to be seen or heard from. I will never stop searching for my baby until I know exactly where she is,” she shared, emphasizing her gratitude for any assistance in the investigation.

    Community Support and Contact Information

The local community has rallied to support McGee’s family during this difficult time. Those with any information regarding Heaven McGee are urged to contact the FBI at 1-800-225-5324 or submit tips online at tips.fbi.gov. Additionally, Oakland Police can be reached at 510-238-3641.

As the investigation progresses, updates will be provided. Please stay tuned for further developments.

This ongoing case serves as a reminder of the critical importance of community vigilance in the fight against human trafficking and the protection of vulnerable individuals.
