Jennifer Kesse’s Disappearance: Case Transforms from Cold to Active Investigation

Family Receives New Leads in a Near-20-Year-Old Mystery

The case of Jennifer Kesse, a Florida woman who vanished nearly two decades ago, has taken a significant turn, with authorities announcing that the investigation is no longer classified as cold. Her father, Drew Kesse, revealed that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has narrowed down a short list of persons of interest and uncovered new evidence that has yet to undergo testing.

New Developments in an Old Case

“This is a major development for us,” Drew Kesse stated in an interview with ABC 7. “Through their two years of investigation, they’ve really shortened the list of persons of interest, and we are being told that it is a very short list at this point. They’ve also found more evidence that has never been tested. Huge, who knows where that could lead.”

Jennifer Kesse disappeared on January 24, 2006, after failing to show up for work. Two days later, her black Chevrolet Malibu was discovered parked at the Huntington on the Green complex in Orlando, a high-crime area situated about a mile from her condominium. Surveillance footage captured an unidentified individual parking Kesse’s vehicle at the apartment complex around noon on the day she went missing.

    Context of the Disappearance

At the time of Kesse’s disappearance, the Mosaic at Millenia complex was still under construction, allowing construction workers both regular access and temporary housing in vacant units, which presents potential avenues for leads.

Drew Kesse expressed his enduring commitment to find his daughter, stating, “I’m driven to find my daughter. There’s nothing else in my life, I have to be honest with you, more important than finding Jennifer.”

Authorities are encouraging anyone with relevant information to come forward. Tips can be submitted to OROCCOLDCASETIPS@fdle.state.fl.us or through the Find Jennifer Kesse Facebook page.

    Continued Family Advocacy

The Kesse family remains steadfast in their pursuit of answers, motivated by love and the hope that new findings could finally reveal the fate of Jennifer. As developments on the case unfold, the community and family continue to seek closure in a heart-wrenching mystery that has lingered for far too long.

As this story progresses, updates will be shared to keep the public informed and engaged in uncovering the truth behind Jennifer Kesse’s disappearance.
