Margate Police Report Surge in Crime Incidents Mid-June
Vehicle Theft and Burglary Cases on the Rise
The Margate Police Department has been busy responding to a series of incidents reported in the community between June 9 and June 14. Among the notable cases was the theft of a 2022 black Dodge Challenger, taken from 7230 W. Atlantic Blvd. The vehicle was last seen between 1 p.m. on June 9 and 1 p.m. on June 10. Additionally, a MacBook Pro was reported stolen from an unlocked car near NW 62 Avenue during the afternoon of June 14.
Violent Crimes and Domestic Incidents
A concerning act of robbery occurred on June 14 at a Five Below store located at 3460 NW 62nd Ave. A man in his 50s, described as having grayish hair, reportedly stole items and threatened the manager with a knife. Retail thefts have also been reported, including an incident at Dollar General, where a woman in a pink tank top left the store without paying for cleaning supplies.
Domestic violence incidents have been a significant focus for local law enforcement:
- Emmanuel Charles, aged 26, was arrested at his SW 51 Ave residence for battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly assaulting his partner.

- Kevin Pazmino, 30, detained for DUI at 5500 W. Atlantic Blvd.

Warrant Arrests and Fraud Charges
The police also reported various warrant arrests, including Vilkens Sajousse, 24, for driving with a suspended license, and Rodney Murray, 23, who was arrested during a perimeter assist for “No Lodging.” Notably, Dontrell Dukes, 36, was taken into custody for fraud at Synovus Bank located at 5375 W. Atlantic Blvd.
