Armored Truck Robbery Shakes Queens Community in Daylight Heist

    Cambria Heights Incident
In a shocking daylight robbery, two armed suspects executed a bold heist on a Brinks armored truck parked outside a Bank of America in Cambria Heights, Queens, on Monday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m., as the driver and a security guard stood by the vehicle.

    Details of the Heist
According to police reports, the assailants approached the truck and swiftly overpowered the 62-year-old guard. During the confrontation, the robbers managed to seize an undisclosed amount of cash from the truck, in addition to taking the guard’s firearm, further escalating the severity of the crime.

Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with bystanders frozen in shock as the event unfolded in plain view. “It’s terrifying to think this happened in broad daylight,” said one eyewitness who requested to remain anonymous. “You wouldn’t expect something like this right outside a bank.”

    Escape Route
Following the robbery, the duo fled the scene in a black Chevrolet sedan, heading westbound on Linden Boulevard. Authorities are currently investigating the area for any surveillance footage that might aid in identifying the suspects.

    No Injuries Reported
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during this brazen act. The guard involved was unharmed, though understandably shaken by the encounter. Police have ramped up efforts to locate the suspects and bring them to justice.

    Ongoing Investigation
As detectives work to piece together the events leading to the robbery, the police have urged anyone with information to come forward. The investigation remains active, and officials are exploring leads that could lead to the apprehension of the suspects.

In the wake of this incident, local residents expressed increased concern over safety. Community leaders are advocating for enhanced security measures and more police presence in the area to prevent such occurrences in the future.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. The police encourage anyone with pertinent details to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline.
