Police Blotter: June 13 Incident Report

Niagara Falls, NY – Local law enforcement outlines several significant incidents in their June 13 report amidst ongoing concerns about community safety. The recent spate of criminal activity highlights the challenges faced by the Niagara Falls Police Department as they work to maintain order in the city.

    Notable Arrests and Charges

    Assault in the Park

One of the more alarming calls involved an altercation at DeVeaux Woods State Park. Reports emerged of a physical assault that left one individual hospitalized. The victim, who remains unidentified, suffered multiple injuries and was treated at a local medical facility. Authorities are investigating the incident further, but no arrests have yet been made.

    Theft of Motor Vehicle

In a separate incident, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle outside a residence on Fifth Street. The victim, a longtime resident of the area, reported that their vehicle went missing during the late hours earlier that night. Officers are currently reviewing surveillance footage and asking for community assistance. Citizens with any information are encouraged to contact the Niagara Falls Police Department.

    Drug-Related Activities

    Possession Charges

Additionally, law enforcement officers arrested an individual on charges related to drug possession during a routine traffic stop. The arrest took place near the intersection of Main and Pine Streets when officers discovered illegal substances in the suspect’s vehicle. The individual, whose name has not been disclosed, is facing multiple charges and is expected to appear in court later this week.

    Community Response

Local residents voiced their concerns regarding recent events. One homeowner expressed, “It’s disheartening that these things are happening right in our neighborhoods. We need to feel safe walking in our own community.” Community leaders are currently convening to discuss strategies aimed at improving public safety and restoring peace in the area.

    Call for Information

As investigations continue, the Niagara Falls Police Department urges anyone with information about the aforementioned incidents or any suspicious activities to step forward. Tips can be reported anonymously, and all calls will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
