Nationwide Manhunt for Army Veteran Accused of Triple Homicide

Authorities Continue Search for Travis Decker
Chelan County, Washington — A large-scale manhunt is underway for Travis Decker, an Army veteran accused of murdering his three young daughters. New images and a wanted poster featuring Decker have been released by local law enforcement, revealing distinctive tattoos and showing him with his hair pulled back in a ponytail, wearing the clothing he had on when last seen.

    Grim Discovery of the Victims
The bodies of Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, were tragically discovered bound and with plastic bags over their heads, near an abandoned truck in which Decker had been living last week. The girls were found at the Rock Island Campground, just 11 miles from the Canadian border, following a report that they did not return from a scheduled visitation with their father.

    Decker Considered Dangerous

Authorities have labeled Decker as "dangerous" and potentially armed, intensifying the urgency of the ongoing search. The National Guard has been activated to aid local law enforcement as they comb through the area. Notably, it has come to light that Decker conducted internet searches for ways to relocate to Canada just days prior to the tragic events.

    Background and Emotional Fallout

The search intensified on May 30 when Whitney Decker, the girls’ mother, reported them missing after they failed to return home. Whitney’s attorney described Decker as a “broken man” rather than a cold-blooded killer, suggesting that the alleged crime stemmed from a deeper psychological break. “It’s clear that something broke in him… he’s a broken human,” attorney Arianna Cozart stated in comments to the media.

In the weeks leading up to this horrific incident, court documents indicate that Decker exhibited erratic behavior, prompting Whitney to file a protection order against him. “He had seemed better, then it seemed like things just started happening one after another,” Whitney noted in her petition for protection.

As this case continues to develop, authorities urge anyone with information regarding Decker’s whereabouts to contact local law enforcement immediately.
